Alex Nixon
Alex Nixon BA is a History Graduate from Bristol University with 15 years of experience in the financial sector.
She started her career in the City of London with Greenwell's, working in financials as an equity analyst. After three years she joined Smith New Court in 1986 which then became Merrill Lynch in 1995. There she developed into specialist sales, a concept then unknown in the UK. In 1998 Alex moved from the UK market to Pan European Sales, taking Merrill Lynch to Number 1 in European Distribution.
Alex continued to develop her analyst’s career in Specialty Finance, being number one rated from 1998 - 2002. This role gave her an opportunity to develop longstanding relationships with corporate clients.
Alex has in-depth knowledge of the financial sector and was part of the Merrill Lynch team on deals for Amvescap, Man Group, Provident Financial, Old Mutual and Royal Bank of Scotland amongst many. In addition she brings a broad knowledge of the Hedge Fund industry.
